COOKIE POLICY

My website uses cookies.  You will be asked to consent to the use of cookies prior to entering my website.

1.0 WHAT ARE COOKIES?

1.1      A cookie is a small text file stored on your device, it contains a site name and a unique ID. When you visit a website it will check your computer for a relevant cookie, if the cookie is present the site knows you are a returning visitor.

1.2      Sometimes a cookie will store a small piece of data about your site visit. A cookie can be used to “remember” what you placed in a shopping basket during a previous visit for example.

1.3  Cookies are either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie helps websites remember your information between visits. Unless you delete them a persistent cookie will remain on your browser for a predetermined time. A session cookie enables a website to keep track of you during your visit as you move between pages. Once you have closed your browser a session cookie will be deleted.

1.4  Cookies do not usually contain information that can personally identify a user.

2.0 WHAT DO I USE COOKIES FOR?

  • To identify returning visitors from the same IP address – this means my site will remember if it has been visited from the same device before.

  • To analyse the use and performance of my website

  • To facilitate navigation of my website

  • To store your preferences in relation to the use of cookies

3.0 WHAT DO MY SERVICE PROVIDERS USE COOKIES FOR

3.1   My service providers use cookies and those cookies may be stored on your computer when you visit my website. My website is hosted by Wix. Wix uses some necessary cookies because they allow visitors to navigate and use key features on my site.

3.2  Functional and required cookies are always used; they allow Wix to securely serve this website to you.

3.3 Analytics and performance cookies are used only when you acknowledge the cookie banner. Analytics cookies are used to view site traffic, activity, and other data.

4. MANAGING YOUR COOKIES

4.1   Most browsers will allow you to delete and/or refuse cookies. The methods for doing so vary from browser to browser, and from version to version.

4.2.  Blocking all cookies will have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites.

4.3  Refusing cookies on a website will add another cookie to your browser as this is the only way to remember your preference.
